OK -- I had some time this weekend to finish up my batch of Bridges - below are a few images showing how I did it.

Here I've made a wedge to feed a bridge blank into the Luthers Friend at an angle to form the wings on one side.








Here I have completed all the left side wings.
Now I made a different wedge for the right side, this has to accommodate the "shaped" side of the bridge.







And finally there done - Ill leave them like this until I know what the pin spacing is going to be.

Lance, you need to make a DVD pictorial of your tecknique and building processes.
What an asset it would make for any luthier or beginner.

Thats Mexican Cocobolo, Steve Kinnaird sent me a little package of bridge blank samples, it had a little bit of everything in it. What I was most interested in doing is getting all the bridges made to the same exact size, and then putting them on a scale. I think the snakewood brige is going to be sweet!

I got cheap and jiged up my own luthiers Friend that uses my existing drums. Now I don't know how I lived with out it. I do need to get some pattern following drums though.

I usually use ebony, and match it to the fretboard - since i was in the batch making mode i went ahead and did the snakwood and coco too. I' probably match the coco with a coco fretboard, and the snakewood will be going on a guitar with an ebony board and snakewood bindings.
